Trek The Himalayas
About Our Treks.
We offer The Everest Base Camp trek as being one of the most popular. However, our favourite is the Gokyo Rii Trek which goes over the Renjo La, into the Thame valley. There are three valleys in the Solo Khumbu Region. The Thame Valley, the Gokyo Valley and the Everest Valley. The most exciting trek is the three-passes trek. This starts in Lukla and goes up the Everest valley. It then crosses over the Kongma La the Cho La and the Renjo La. You then descend down the Thame valley.
All treks start at Lukla, the accepted trailhead. Costs include a guide and porters. Please note that prices drop dramatically for greater numbers.
We have an ethical tourism policy and insist that our porters are paid properly, fed properly and not overloaded. Our Nepalese partners are part of this ethical policy and the treatment of their contracted staff is reflected in the price.
Air tickets from Kathmandu to Lukla are included.
Your options for trekking are diverse and encompass the entire nation of Nepal. Here are some basic summaries of our most popular treks. These short summaries are based on the concept that you know something about the mountains and where you want to go. Each trek is accompanied by a full itinerary which we will send to you as soon as you identify which suits you best. If you are unsure of the Nepal Himalaya, please contact us with your interests and any specific requirements. We will do our best to guide you.
Prices are always based upon two people trekking and drop in price for fewer.
Himalayan Trekking Tours
The Himalayas are the most captivating of mountains. They are the physical buffer between India and China. The one-time kingdom of Nepal is now the small state that lies upon the majority of these ranges. Tourist-friendly, well organised and safe, Nepal is a mountain hikers’ dream. We organise Himalayan trekking tours with our partner Himalayan Holidays. We specialise in tailor-made holidays to Nepal specifically for individual trekkers and couples.
Farhat, our founder has been trekking in the Nepal Himalayas since 1992. His love for the mountain people and respect for the mountains brought him to try and help the people of Nepal by bringing select tourist trekkers to the Solo Khumbu and Annapurna regions.
Therefore this section of the holidays that we sell is very different to any other; Through Farhat, and our national partner and friend Bibhu Thakkur, we have been linked to the Himalayas for two decades. These Himalayan Trekking tours really help the people of the mountains. We treasure our relationship with the mountains and the people; we are proud of how we help them enrich their lives and their economy.
Solo Khumbu Trekking
The Everest Base camp is the most famous. A 12-day trek to the foot of the roof of the world, along a well-beaten path, with coffee shops and other amenities. This trek is the most famous in Nepal and the most popular. But it is also the busiest. This starts at $1450 per person.
The Renjo La Trek is Farhat’s personal favourite. It takes you up the Gokyo Valley, over the Renjo La (pass) into the Thame Valley for a serene walk down to Namche Bazaar. With quiet paths, and views of Everest and Tibet, this is a truly wonderous and serene experience that takes you from rivers to the face of the moon and then down to an alpine valley. 12 days cost $1450 per person.
Everest Gokyo Chola Kalapatar Trek. That is one heck of a name, but it really explains it all, and we did not want to give it a fancy name. It lets you really see the majesty of the mountains, up Everest and the Gokyo and Thame valleys. It takes a gruelling 21 days but by the end of it, you’ll be in touch with the roof of the world. It also sells for the fantastic value price of $1903.00
Anapurna Trekking
The classic round Annapurna trek is still as interesting today as it was in 1992 when we first set foot on the narrow paths that take you up around the edge of Nepal. This 12-day trek is a real steal at $1450.
The Annapurna Sanctuary takes 13 days and costs $1450.
We also offer tailor-made expeditions to Makalu base camp and the Mustang valley.

Important Notes
The attraction of the Himalayas also brings tragedy. Mountains are hazardous places and trekking at high altitudes has its inherent dangers. We trek ourselves, and the reason we do it, is because of the attraction of the high peaks, but getting there can be exhausting. Altitude sickness and even a simple fall can be fatal, tourists do die on the high paths.
All tourist trekkers must prove they have adequate insurance that covers high-altitude trekking, helicopter evacuation, and medical treatment. All trekkers must be aware that high-altitude trekking carries inherent risks, which may include death.
